Ten years ago, a beautiful and colourful building was built for the kindergarten. Every day, around 60 little ones come here to learn and play. The teachers – all Ugandan – put all their heartfelt efforts into caring for the children. It's truly heartwarming! The children dance, sing, play and start learning at a very young age. No matter how small they are, we invest in them – because they are more than worth it. We firmly believe that quality education can make a real difference in their lives.
Unfortunately, Uganda is facing increasingly heavy and intense rainstorms. A few months ago, one of these storms caused severe damage to the roof which led to leakage in the classrooms. The roof had to be completed reconstructed and many of the electrical cables needed to be replaced as well.
We are so thankful that, thanks to the generous support of our donors, we were able to fix the storm damage really quickly so the school did not to be closed for long allowing the children to get back to their daily routine without too much disburbment. The roof has now been renewed, the kindergarten has brand new ceilings, and the electrical wiring has been replaced. We are grateful that the children once again have a beautiful, safe place where they can go to school every day with joy and excitement.
