Every child deserves joy and fun!
Last summer, 14 young people from the Netherlands traveled to Uganda to spend two weeks volunteering on the campus. This experience had a huge impact — not only on the children in Uganda but also on the youth themselves.
The team worked incredibly hard! They painted classrooms and playground equipment and spent lots of quality time with the children. The absolute highlight was the weekend when the football field was transformed into a giant outdoor playground! There was a water slide, go-karts, bikes, and all kinds of fun play equipment. Thanks to the fundraising efforts of the young volunteers and “Tjeko Fun Village”who made this day possible. The children had the time of their lives!
A day filled with play or a special outing means the world to these children. For a moment, they can forget the hardship they have experienced — and their faces light up with pure joy!
Support for these children remains vital: to help them go to school, receive nutritious meals every day, and most importantly — to experience the joy and fun every child deserves.
