This vulture was found by our field volunteers in a very critical condition at the area of khambhat, central Gujarat, india.
After receiving information immediately, it wad rescued and brought to our center- hospital at Jivdaya charitable trust, Ahmedabad.
Overnight it was monitored and treated. After our expert’s clinical examination, we came to know that there is multiple injuries on his body. X Ray was taken and we found 3 fracture in wing and 1 fracture on it’s leg. Due to this, it might not have received food for since last 2-3 days and severe dehydrated was observed.
The reason for this condition was unknown but the bird is showing positive signs of improvement during treatment and proper husbandry.
After its full recovery, the vulture will be released at it’s original colony.
Thank you for your support!

vulture Rescue and Successful Release
By DHARMENDRA RATHOD | GENERAL MANAGER

Under Vulture Conservation Program, our team is continuously working for awareness rescue and rehab activities. A strong network is been created and as a result of this, we got call for sick vulture in last moth.
Vultures form an important part of our ecosystem. They acts as cleaners of waste and consume that which is dead, thus, becoming Scavenger birds. They are extremely intelligent and form an extremely important part of our existence. India has seen a decline in the number of Vultures from the past century and no wonder why. We came across a White Vulture near Kadi who was severely dehydrated due to which, it fell from a great height. The forest range at Kadi brought the poor bird to Jiv-daya Charitable Trust for treatment. The vulture was first given glucose for hydrating it and preparing it for treatment. It was then operated and given due practice for days together. After due diligence and cent percent surety, we released the bird.
We humans need to think that while we sit in our centrally air-conditioned offices/homes, other living creatures fight for survival. We should make arrangement for water for them especially in summer.
We thank and appeal to donors to help for Vulture Conservation as it is very endangered species.
