Our Camp focus for this year is centered on Environmental Sustainability and would involve the application of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Software Innovation and Data Analytics.
Training: Spanning over a duration of two weeks, we plan to train our camp participants and beneficiaries on how to apply technology concepts such as AI, Robotics, Software innovation and Data Analytics to help combat environmental degradation and ensure environmental sustainability.
Learning models adopted will not only educate these girls but would equip them with the right knowledge that will make them ambassadors and activists for a cleaner environment and safer climate.
For the camp duration, 30 secondary school students who registered for the camp will participate in diverse STEM, career and capacity building sessions. The girls would also build diverse projects with the application of what they have learnt which would be utilized in everyday life.
Excursion: The 30 girls would be opportuned to visit some prominent STEM based companies where they can interact with staff, learn and get inspired.
Provision of Internship opportunities: For the first time, W.TEC is providing Internship opportunities to the girls through her Partners to ensure that these girls have an experience of a work environment which would enable them make informed career choices.
The overaching objective is to elevate the participation of Nigerian girls and women in productive technology utilization for learning, professional development and leadership roles. In pursuit of this mission, W.TEC’s initiatives will progressively emphasize the empowerment of girls and women to transition into technology creators, proficient in content development and creation of practical applications.
