Current Reality: The homelessness crisis in the DMV area remains critical: • Thousands face life-threatening conditions in extreme weather • Limited access to safe shelter and basic necessities • Growing mental health and substance abuse challenges • Increasing number of families experiencing homelessness • Urgent need for comprehensive support services
Preparation Phase: In these early stages, we focused on: • Identifying high-need areas in the DMV region • Establishing partnerships with local shelters • Developing comprehensive support frameworks • Creating rehabilitation program structures • Building community outreach networks
Looking Forward: Once funding goals are met, we aim to: • Provide safe, year-round shelter solutions • Implement nutritious meal programs • Establish rehabilitation services • Develop skill-building workshops • Create pathways for community reintegration
