Family Receiving Water Filter
Family Receiving Water Filter

HRI launched this project to help gain support for people living without any access to safe, clean drinking water. Although we did not gain much support from GlobalGiving partners for this particular project, we received a lot of support from other fundraising platforms. As a result, HRI has been able to impact thousands of lives!

In 2023, HRI served more than 16,000 people thanks to the support of partners like you!  Over 550,000 meals were distributed, medical care was provided to more than 10,000 people, and over 1,700 benefited from trainings on water, sanitation, hygiene, entrepreneurship, and more!

Summary of HRI impact 2023: 285 children and adults received access to safe, clean drinking water!

HRI distributed water filters to 27 families. These filters served 54 adults and 108 children.

In addition, the following recaps the work we have done with orphans in 2023:

  1. Number of orphans who received medical care from HRI: 295 orphans and 54 orphanage staff.
  2. CLEAN WATER donated to an orphanage of 123 children when they ran out.
  3. HRI provided 88 trainings on health, hygiene, cholera, etc.
  4. Hygiene Supplies were distributed to 386 children.
  5. Psychosocial Support was provided to 38 children who developed PTSD.
  6. Five orphans received emergency medical care.
  7. HRI provided 25 hand washing stations with clean water to serve 474 orphans.

The following recaps the work we have done in schools in 2023:

  1. We served three schools.
  2. Hygiene Supplies were distributed to serve 233 children and 10 school teachers.
  3. Psychosocial Support was provided to 233 children and 10 staff.
  4. Three Cholera Prevention Trainings were provided by HRI to all 233 children and 10 staff.

The following recaps the work we have done in camps for internally displaced persons in 2023:

  1. Number of average patients seen per month: 300 to 515 patients.
  2. Number of suspect cholera cases seen per month at the camps: 30 to 86 patients including children.
  3. Number of kids under 5 treated for cholera at the camp per month: 35 to 98.
  4. HRI provided 11 hand washing stations to serve a few thousand people.
  5. Around 3,000 refugees had access to CLEAN WATER and some families received aqua tabs and hygiene kits.
  6. Four kids were evacuated emergently by HRI staff for emergency care.
  7. In total, HRI provided medical serves to more than 6,000 people!

With your continued support, HRI will continue to serve all of the above beneficiaries and more with clean water!
