Dear Family, Friends, and Supporters of Serendipity Healthcare Foundation,
There was a current outbreak of Cholera in Kano and it affected one of our communities in Gadan. Cholera is a major public health concern in our communities, such outbreaks happen because our communities have inadequate access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) facilities.
Our project which we are doing is to stop the outbreak of cholera and other water borne diseases plaguing our communities, by improving access to clean water, promoting hygiene practices, and strengthening community resilience.
Our campaign took us to Gadan where we distributed 300 water purifiers and hygiene kits that contained soaps, and hand sanitizers to 20 female households, we also conducted hygiene promotion sessions with the 20 women and established a community-based response team/ hygiene promoters to strengthen their resilience.
We intend to take our campaign to neighbouring communities to stop the spread of water borne diseases and in particular Cholera by improving access to safe clean driniking water, promoting hygiene practices strengthening community resilience with the potential to make a significant impact on the lives of 2000 people by the end of 2024.
Your continued support and donations will go a long way to ensure our communities are cholera free with access to safe clean drinking water
