Help a Child: Provide Access to Water in Nigeria

Dear Supporters, Family and Friends of Serendipity Healthcare Foundation,

We are winning the war in providing access to safe clean drinking water in Gadan, Tudun Fulani and the journey of your every donation comes with many special moments; providing relief to many children going through so much pains has been our main concern from the installation of hand pumps to basic hygiene trainings we have been able to ensure that access to safe clean drinking water and behavioral attitude change to keeping clean is achieved. We started our project during the times of deaths of children as a result of cholera and diarrhea in 2013 with a record of 7 deaths per 10 cases as there was only one source of water supply to now in 2016 with four hand pumps and no incidence of deaths occurring. At Serendipity, we are here to serve and ensure that your donation brings relief to the rural poor that are battling with the search for water in communities in Northern Nigeria.

With the rainfalls here, we are teaching the community on the importance to keep clean as this is the period whence water related diseases are abound and thus we have been running trainings on water management using moringa for purification of rain water collected for 10 women every week as well as good hand washing practices for 10 children every two weeks.  

Cases of water related diseases are at an all-time low from the report we received from the primary healthcare center from 10 out of 50 outpatient cases seen in the last three months to 3 in the last two weeks. However, more work needs to be done and thus we would appreciate your continuous support to our cause. Donate again to ensure we continue to serve our community.
