Dear Friends and Family of Serendipity Healthcare Foundation,
All year long, you supported us in bringing life changing solutions to children in the rural communities in Northern Nigeria only because you believed in us; from your kind donations we cited an additional handpump and three tube wells, the sand dam was completed, to provision of free training on good hygiene practices for orphan boys and girls, to provision of wash materials and water purification to keep their drinking water clean.
Gadan, Amarzakaya, Yar kuje communities in Ungogo Local council has seen so much growth and developement as a result of your support and love to the children of these communities; The journey of your every donation comes with special moments; In collaboration with the local governing council, a school was bulit for the communities and Hansau (Not real name) our little Water and Sanitation ambassador was able to start school and she is enjoying every day of it; the cases of water related diseases reduced significantly from 10 out of every 20 cases to 5 cases and has been dropping lower ever since.
Ahmadu and Hamidu (Not real names), two youths prior to our intervention were out of jobs since leaving secondary school education and thus set up a block making industry in Gadan which they now sell to neighbouring communities, this was only possible because of the access to water in their community; Fatima (Not real name) a young female from Yar Kuje recently graduated from a nearby tertiary institution, this feat also was possible because the role she was playing at home in assisting her mother prior to your support left little room for her to study; now she has concluded and will be a better person in the society.
Maryam (Not real name) is a farmer and was grappling with her children falling ill leaving little time to tend her farm but with the recent kind donations of WASH materials; she now has more time to produce and sell her farm products thus augumenting her family income.
Thank you once again for sharing your 2016 with Us at Serendipity in helping rural communities of Northern Nigeria and making changes. Here is wishing you the very best in the coming Year 2017 and always.
Warm Regards,
Abubakar Sadiq
