August Update - we reached our target!

Thank you for your support.
Thanks to your support online and offline with gifts for this appeal, we are delighted to announce that we have now made our target for installing the submersible pump for the well at our Sisters of Mary girls' school in Zona 13, Guatemala.
Meeting our need
The need for clean water at our girls’ school in Guatemala was urgent. The dry season in Guatemala is long and without a well with a pump to extract water for the girls’ use for washing and sanitation, the Sisters were relying on the purchase of water which had to be brought to the school by tanker. This was extremely costly and inefficient. The cost of water also rose by over 14% in the year to date.
This additional operating cost also affected the number of children we were able to accept into our care at the school.
Thanks to the generosity of supporters on and offline for this appeal I am delighted to share photos from the school to show the construction project, completion in June and the installation of the new submersible pump into the well.
The project will transform the life of the children at school.
Thank you!
The photos are sent with the grateful thanks of the Sisters and children at Zona 13 Guatemala and on their behalf and with the thanks of all the team at World Villages for Children, thank you all again for your support for this appeal. Your donations will mean a better quality of life for the poorest girls while they complete their education, learn new skills and look forward to the brighter future they deserve.
