Water4Life: Handpump for Drinking Water in Nepal
Project Overview:
The Water4Life initiative, led by Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal, focuses on providing safe drinking water through handpump-equipped wells in underserved areas.
Progress Summary (As of January 2025):
Total Wells Drilled Till Date: 80
Regions Covered: Rural and remote communities across Nepal.
Primary Beneficiaries: Over 1,500 households (approximately 9,000 individuals).
Donated Through: GlobalGiving
January Highlights:
New Wells This Month: 7
Impact: Improved access to clean water, reduced waterborne diseases, and significant time savings for families, especially women and children.
Training: Local volunteers trained in handpump maintenance for sustainability.
Challenges:
Difficult terrain and resource limitations slowed progress in some areas.

Looking Ahead:
Our goal for the coming months is to drill an additional 22 wells, aiming to reach a total of 200 wells by mid-2025.
We are also planning hygiene awareness programs in collaboration with local schools and community leaders.
