The Water4Life Project is a flagship humanitarian initiative of Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal, dedicated to providing safe, sustainable access to clean drinking water for underserved communities across Nepal. In 2025, with the support of GlobalGiving and partner NGOs and donors, the project expanded its reach, improved water security, and delivered measurable health and livelihood benefits to vulnerable populations.

Many rural and marginalized communities in Nepal continue to face acute water scarcity and waterborne diseases due to limited infrastructure and unsafe water sources. Women and children are disproportionately affected, often walking long distances to collect water. The Water4Life Project addresses these challenges by installing reliable water systems and promoting community ownership and hygiene awareness.

Provide sustainable access to safe drinking water in water-scarce communities
Reduce waterborne diseases through improved water quality
Decrease the time and physical burden of water collection for women and children
Strengthen community ownership and maintenance capacity
