Introduction
The Year 2020 has been full of challenges for our girls just as it has been around the world for others. It has delayed their home going, some of them had to stop jobs, faced loss of jobs and college going girls suddenly had to get aquainted to online studies.
In many way this also been a blessing in disguise for us. As an organization we faced low staff turn over due to the lockdown. Its at this time our Major Released Girls came to support us in conducting inhouse vocational training.
Many of our girls were better equipped to be trainers to their other counterparts. We decided to launch a new Intiative namely Project Ekatra. This was an initiative to train and groom our Senior Girls as instructors, trainers for vocational guidance. 8 of our girls have been trained and working alongside with our staff conducting vocational trainings such as tailoring, jwellery making, computer skills, marital arts.

Advocacy
One of our girls spoke well on the struggles and challenges faced by girls like them who are trafficked at an early age. She spoke at a Webinar conducted by the National Commission of Women & Child Ministry Maharashtra.
Plans for the Future
We are hoping our Major Girls from Way Forward After the Rescue would be increasingly groomed and trained to be Instructers and Trainers. This would not only give them confidence but help them to transition from the Shelter Home to handling their own lives as part of mainstream society
