Introduction

Rescue Foundation has been working on Rescue, Rehabilitation and Restoration of Girls who have been either victims of Human Trafficking, Child Sexual Exploitation or Sexual Abuse.

The Courts then order a period of Rehabilitation for them at Govt Licenced Protection Homes.  Rescue Foundation has 4 such Protection Homes spread across the India.

Mumbai Kandivali Home is one of the oldest Homes and was set up some 25 years ago.  Some 3 years back Rescue Foundation set up an After Care Home to respond to the needs of Girls who desired to explore possibilities of jobs, training, higher Education for themselves.

This is the Report about our Released Major Girls at Rescue Foundation Mumbai Home.  It underlines the progress of these girls post their Rehabilitation and the update of their Stay at the After Care Home at Rescue Foundation

Post Rescue most of these girls have gone through a period of Rehabilitation.  Mamy of them after Rehabilitation do not wish to go back home or are not accepted by their families.  Few times the Girls themselves wish to pursue their dreams of having jobs, home settling down in the city of Mumbai

Most of the Girls from the After Care Home except the ones working outside the Home,  from the After Care participant in all the activities of the Protection Home.

Future Life

One of the girls has desired to get married to a boy she knows..  We are in process of checking the background of the proposed person and will support her in her future plans

We would like to thank the support we get for these girls to plan and navigate their future.  We are happy to report the transformation and changes we have seen in the lives of these girls.  They have started as Victims but today they are contributing in the growth and aspirations of the other newcomers to our Protection Home.
