Introduction

25+ Years Fighting AgainST Slavery

Way Forward After the Rescue is a Project of Rescue Foundation to support girls who have completed their period of rehabiitation and are on their way to join the mainstream society and make a life for themselves which is free form Sexual Harassement and Exploitation.

Rescue Foundation is committed to proividing interim support for these girls who are on the verge of making their breakthrough and creating a life for themselves.  This project is implemented for the girls at the Mumbai Shelter Home.

Post rehabilitation during their Police custody few of the girls express their desire to continue to live in Mumbai the city of dreams.  They intend to continue with their studies, training, explore job opportuniites.  

After Care Serives 

During the reporting period we have had many girls added to the Group Home which provides shelter to them.  2 of them left the Group Home, one went back to her family and other one decided to move on with her life, she started working and got a rented apartment for herself.

Extensive Yoga Training

One of our Senior Girls who has been with Rescue Foundation for past 7 years, is undergoing an Extensive Yoga Training through a very reputed Organization.  She has accomplished so much in such a short time.  We are proud that she is already conducting training for small groups as part of her Outreach in the City of Mumbai

Heath

One of our girl was detected with TB infection and was very critical and had to be admitted to a Govt Hospital for surgery and treatment.  She is back home and doing well. 

Trip to Japam

Two of our Girls were invited to share thier Life Expeirence and time at Reascue Foundation.  Rescue Foundation is incredibly proud to have accompanied two brave survivors to Japan, alongside our President, Triveni Acharya. This journey was more than just a trip—it was an opportunity for these young women to share their stories on a global stage,raising awareness about humantrafficking.  Through meaningful discussions, cultural exchanges, and advocacyefforts, they inspired hope and change beyond borders. Their resilience is a testament to why we do what we do, and we remain committed to empowering survivors and creating a world free from trafficking.

Celebrations & Exposures

Indepence Day was celebrated with immense pride and enthusiasm across all our homes. All the residents of the Shelter and Group Home and staff come together to hoist the national flag, sing the national anthem, and participate in cultural performances, including patriotic songs, dances, and skits. Inspirational speeches and storytelling sessions reminded everyone of the sacrifices made for our freedom and the importance of upholding the values of justice and equality. These celebrations instill a deep sense of patriotism and unity among the survivors, reinforcing their confidence and

Holi was celebrated along with the residents of the Shelter Home.  

Ekatra Project

Few of our Senior Girls are part of this project which is implemented for training, teaching girls to make products for sale, and taking up sessions such as Yoga, Zumba and Conversation English.  Our Senior Girls also are Role Models for the new entrants to the Shelter Home.  

Visitors

Rescue Foundation had several visitors during this period.  We were visited by our Donors from Germany and Japan.  Our Senior Girls at the Group Home were in the fore front sharing their experiences, decorating the Home for the special welcome

Monitoring Meeting with Staff

Monthly Meetings were conducted with all the girls by the Senior Program Manager to understand any issues and find solutions for the girls.  The girls were encouraged to excel in their studies, to manage the Group Home by sharing maintaining respbonsibilities equally by all.  

This has been a challenging quarter for the girls as most of them were. preparing for their Board Exams of 10th, & 12th Grade.  Besides due to the critical illness of one of them, the others had to work extra hard to manage their Group Home.
