THIS is an urgent appeal for donations to help the victims of the devastating landslides in Wayanad in northern Kerala that has left over 185 people dead, over 200 people injured and over 225 people missing. In the affected areas, rescue efforts are underway and more than 1,000 people have been rescued so far. But there are still more people trapped and unreachable. The people of Wayanad - including children - affected by the landslides have been displaced from their homes, are injured and have no access to clean water, food, medicines and shelter. Moreover, many people are not able to reach their loved ones, leaving hundreds in a state of panic and despair.
