Recently, we installed a water storage system for a community of 150 families. Although this community had other wells, they were not providing sufficient water or were completely dry. They could not repair these wells, so the community was struggling to access water and were not able to adequately meet their daily water needs.
To collect water, they would have to travel to other water sources outside of their village. So, in partnership with the community, we dug a deep well that fed into a water storage tank. Water is pumped into the tank from an electric pump that is powered by solar panels.
Now, with the installation of the water system, the community of over 700 people no longer lack access to water. There is enough water for the community, and they can access it any time of day.
The community and their leaders expressed their thanks for partnering with them to provide this essential resource to their neighborhood.
