Do the kids in your life get excited to make Christmas wish lists every year? Many children who live in poverty get just as excited for Christmas - even if some of their wishes differ from your family's. Our local community partners are already working hard to buy children what they need and want this Christmas. Learn how you can help them fulfill the wish lists of children in poverty!
Christmas and the holidays can be a massively busy time. Some of the reasons people get super-stressed, tired or argumentative with family at this time include: working long hours to get things finished before the holidays worrying about the financial cost of buying Christmas presents, getting all the Christmas shopping done in time, overdoing it with too many family, work or social events, feeling isolated when everyone else around them seems to be having great time with their families feeling
As a Local Partner we recognize that Christmas is not about presents or wish lists. It's about Jesus coming to earth to save humanity from sin. But in the spirit of giving and receiving, gifts do add to children's excitement for the holiday. And for children in our program, some gifts they receive from our Local Partner can provide relief to their struggling families.
Whether it's food they need or a new toy they want, children are already looking forward to the Christmas gifts that they will cherish all year long. And their innocent joy at Christmas is made possible by the Local Partner who shop for their gifts - and by generous supporters who give to ensure every single child in our program receives a Christmas gift.
