KOLE INTELLECTUAL FORUM PROGRESSIVE REPORT TO AUGUST 2019
The project of Kole Intellectual Forum; because of, its commitments and its interest to reorganize the mindsets of educational stakeholders to embrace organizational campaign of promoting quality and sustainable education in Uganda; specifically, at Angic public primary school and St. Benedictine Nursery and Primary school, on GlobalGiving project page link to http://goto.gg/31562; GlobalGiving has awarded the organization with four badges: Vetted, Top ranked, Effective and Site visit badges.
Secondly, from 2016; the organization had been paying school fees for the disadvantaged children; although, donation is no longer coming from GlobalGiving, the organization is still maintaining the project through its membership contributions and other sources
Not forgetting the new project that the organization has initiated also from membership contribution; that is, making children out of school to reach the fullest potential of their education. Twelve children out school from Angic Upper cell have been selected and taken for skill training (welding), with the hope of giving them startup capital
Consultation has always been the key guiding principles of Kole Intellectual Forum; the organization is doing this, through meetings and workshop; both at Angic and Aumi primary school
Site visit, on 22nd July, 2019; the project office and site of Kole Intellectual Forum was visited by the GlobalGiving Traveler; and, a number of activities took place as recorded below:
a) at Angic primary school, in the present of Resident District Commissioner of Kole District and Kole Intellectual Project team; the guest was welcome by the Head teacher and taken to a number of places within the school before meeting the community; b) from the community there was an open air discussion, that was when the project leader declared to the community the wealth of their staff and their sources of fund, as well as accounting to the community what the money they received from GlobalGiving did and is doing at Angic primary school in the present of the guest; the guest and Resident District Commissioner of Kole district were among the people who addressed the community. There were a number of extra curriculum activities at the function; there was traditional dances, music from the pupils, scouting and many more
b) at Aumi, St. Benedictine Nursery and Primary school, the community warmly welcome the visitor; the was also a number of speeches, traditional dances, and gifts given to the guest the visitor by the community
c) Re-donation of the Gifts given to the guest (GG traveler), with the instruction from the guest, the gifts given to the visitor was re-donated to some of the children of Angic primary school by Kole Intellectual Forum; especially, the children, that are being supported by the organization and those that performed well during the occassion with the guest
d) at Wigua Primary school; the school of disability; the visitor was welcome by the head teache who is a disable person. He presente to the team the challenges the school is facing and how the are mitigating them
