In this arena, Kole intellectual Forum: a Community- Led organization with forwarding thinking views, in its analytical book research and physical finding in Kole district, post district of Northern Uganda, form 2015 to date observed that: Girls' education is an issue for everyone. Improving it should be—and is—important for all of us. According to the organization (Kole Intellectual Forum), educating girls is important in an underserved and in an underutilized part of society like post war area of Northern Uganda, and this kind of investment will lead to a healthier and a wealthier world is some few days to come.
Because of that: the organization has joined the rest of the world to invest in Girl child education in Northern Uganda from 2016 and in 2018, it was incorporated among GlobalGiving’s Active Development Partners. In 2017 for instance, when the organization advocated for the girl’s child education at Angic public primary school, all the 17 girls that were found in primary seven managed to complete their primary education; the same applied to the girls of 2018 – they were 20 in numbers and 2019 also; they were also 20 in numbers.
According to the study, the findings reveal that: the factors hindering girl’s child not only at Angic public primary school, but across the globe, are hidden into: discrimination, poverty, emergencies and culture. Although, the girls just like the boys, they also have the same hopes and dreams in life. To show the magnitude of the problem, reference was made on the Figures from UNICEF (2018) that indicated that, about 32 million girls of primary school age and 29 million of lower secondary school age across the global are not getting an education; meanwhile at Angic public primary school; of the 17 and 20 girls that completed primary seven education about 70% have dropped out of school; some are married, others at home, while others their whereabouts cannot be established.
It is therefore an advocacy from Kole Intellectual forum to development partners, donors and well wishers that: there is need for us to IMPROVE on the SOCIOECONOMIC GROWTH of the world: because, the study potrays that, by educating women, there is a greater chance of escaping poverty, which will eventually, lead to a healthier and more productive lives, and also raises the standard of living for their children, families, and communities. These and many more are some of the valuable reasons why Kole Intellectual Forum is appealing to you to support them on their project on GlobalGiving link to: http://goto.gg/31562
