The community of Angic Upper and Lower Cells, Kole District, Northern Uganda has shown and made a rare effort to recognize (giving their practical feedback) to their service organization - Kole Intellectual Forum; despite this dificult time, that the World Health Organization (WHO's) has made a Declaration, that: coronavirus outbreak is a global health emergency - mainly, because they (WHO) fears that, the poorer countries might not be able to cope with an outbreak, if, nothing is done to prevent the virus from spreading to them; that is, according to BBC News reporting of February 6, 2020.
In response to that: Uganda, including many other African countries laid down several measures, among others are to: intensify health checks at airports, while others have suspended flights to China, where the virus has been reported to have killed at least 563 people by Thursday, before 6, Feb 2020; and, today, by this reporting time, the situation in Uganda is worst than before, in terms of preventive measures although death toll case has not yet been recorded. There is, a complete economic recess; because, during the night there is no movement; offices, it, being a Governmental or a Non Governmental once, are partly closed; public gathering in any form is totally forbidden, travelling is banned, and so on; making lives of those that depend on movement, public gathering and offices among others to be very difficult.
Given the situation above, the community of Angic Upper and Lower Cells, still endeavored to expressed their natural feelings to their serving organization (Kole Intellectual Forum) by building and maintaining its relationship with her (Kole Intellectual Forum); through their mobilizers, by ensuring that: they organized themselves in a fewer numbers, walked on foot, one after the others; and, they ensured they manually dug and cleaned the proposed site acquired by their organization with the support from GlobalGiving to institutionalize HOME ECONOMIC AND MANANGEMNT INTITUTE; with the hope of planting any meaningful crop in it; and, when the crop is harvested, it will be sold to support the cause of the organization; or, it will be used by the beneficiaries themselves. Taking note that: when constructed (the site), it will be used for the trainning of their girls with skills in Home Economic And Management Design.
This concern, has motivated the team of Kole Intellectual Forum who are at the moment out of their offices due to the directive of the Uganda’s President to ensure, most of the offices are closed; to start outsourcing for the revenue, to help them at least procure 3 laptop computers and accessories at the minimum cost of about $3000, that will enable them to continue working from their different homes.
This report therefore, serves the purpose of informing our supporters that: we understand the situation the entire world is moving at; at this difficult time; only our prayers to those that are affected; however, given the level of appreciation we are receiving from our beneficiaries; although, our offices are temporarily closed from now; we are, being prompted by their practical feedback to us; and, has made us to appeal to our heartfelt supporters; those that might have got the strength to do so; though in hardship; to endeavor to borrow us a leaf from the little they might have saved; and donate to us whatever little they can afford; to invest in the cause of this project of Kole Intellectual Forum, link at: http://goto.gg/31562
With Sympathy; we pray for a speedy recovery for the nations that are affected.
