Kole Intellectual Forum through its program of Home Economics link to the organization’s campaign to promote hygiene in Uganda; the organization is using part of the fund it is getting from GlobalGiving to support the 10 young girls they are engaging into their program through Music, Dance and drama; to advocate to the communities, governments and health workers to plan, prevent and respond to the pandemic effectively.
On the 9/10/2020, for instance, these 10 girls made it clear to the community at Bar Yao Village, Aboke sub-county, Kole district, Northern Uganda, through music, dance and drama that: COVID-19 is leaving the world and Uganda in particular with the heaviest negative impact; hence, there is need for the communities, government and health workers to build resilience and support for recovery from the scourge in order to overcome the challenges the communities and children are facing in their livelihoods, education and sexual rights; and above all, the communities should come together to demand for their rights from the government.
