Just within one month; when, the 10 Girls out of school from post war area of Angic Cell, Bala Sub-County, Kole District, Northern Uganda; were recruited with the intention of empowering them with skills that are spelt out in Home Economics, like:
• Cooking. Since food preparation was central to homemaking, cooking is one of the earliest disciplines in home economics. ...
• Child Development. ...
• Education and Community Awareness. ...
• Home Management and Design. ...
• Sewing and Textiles. ...
• Budgeting and Economics. ...
• Health and Hygiene.
On the Sewing and Textiles as a course unit..., firstly, the organization is engaging the girls into Face Masks making as a component to empower the girls with skills to do something for their lives on earth and secondly, the organization is engaging the girls for the same to fight against the spread of COVID-19
As mentioned above, just within one month of this girls being present at the institute of Home Economics of the organization;; the girls have went on to make the face masks that were distributed to the parents of the boys that are expected to report for the youth empowerment project under the same organization in the meeting that took place on the 28/10/2020, at Angic Cell, bala Sub-County, Kole District, Uganda; hence, the parents have started to enjoy the fruits of their children, by receiving face masks from the organization.
