Defining it as one of the solutions to address the widening gap between humanitarian needs and available resources is Kole Intellectual Forum, a Community Based Organization that is deeply rooted in the community that it serves. The organization in 2016 was started by the five professional sons and daughters of the region, particularly those from Kole District in Northern Uganda, to find out the best approach or way (local solution) to address the a looming problems their community are facing at the post conflict time without any clear answer.
Since then, the organization is doing these in Kole District through an action research, whereby, the problem is identified, investigated, analyzed, interpreted, diognized, and where possible treated. In other words, is all about: through action research, the organization selects the focus, clarifies theories to guide the action, identifies research questions, collects data, analyzes data, reports results and finally when everything are in place, the organization takes on an informed action.
In the same way, when the organization learnt about the Community Hall that was blown off by the storm covering 8 people but fortunately they did not die on the 20/11/2020 at the location where the office of the organization is located at Te_Okole, Ogwangacuma Parish, Aboke Sub-County, Kole District, Northern Uganda; it was to the concern to the members of board and staff of organization to send their team to go and verify the situation of the place and report to them as soon as possible and this was done on 27/11/2020
