In an African culture, parents do interact, negotiate, solve problems, express their emotions and treat one another with respect when they eat together as a family during several meals. It is a moment they learn how to interact and cooperate with the family members, have good manners and develop communications skills as well as passing out the culture from one generation to another
In deed for the last 3 months that the Institute of Home Economics has been instituted by Kole Intellectual Forum at Aboke Sub-County in Kole District Northern Uganda; the regular eating and sharing of ideas by the students and the staff of the institute has helped the institute to strengthen its ties and has built better relationships among the two team; it has also built a sense of belongingness in the institute leading to better self-esteem among them; and the community around are looking at the institute as a role model for those young generation that are interested to set up a good family in this part of the continent.
Following the observation at the institute, on a daily basis, the institute is receiving more 10 girls seeking for the vacancies from them; but the question is that: how can we address this alarming demand on the resources the organization is fundraising from the platform of GlobalGiving? However, the leaders of the is optimistic that, if more resources are realized they will extend the program to include more girls.
