With the overall increase in number of diseases across the global including the upcoming new diseases like COVID-19 and Ebola; to help the girls at Home Economics of Kole Intellectual Forum boost their health and to avoid surprise attack from the suspected common diseases that are always expected to attack girls and women; Kole Intellectual Forum is one such organizations across the Global that is trying its best to create a lively and a healthy environment to the girls they are training in Home Economics with support from the Crowd fundraising platform of GlobalGiving.
Following the fund they are receiving from the platform on the monthly basis, the organization through the decision of their members of Board has made it a point that part of the fund allocated purposely for girls’ health, is used in examining a number of medical conditions that are of great concern to girls; and, this was done at Siddonia Medical Clinic that is situated near their office at Corner Molem at Aboke Sub-County, Kole District, Northern Uganda; the medical conditions examined included among others, the: heart disease, breast cancer, osteoporosis, depression, autoimmune diseases, state of pregnancy, and sexuality transmitted diseases.
Although issues that involve health matters are confidential; on the other hand we are grateful to report that none of our student has been found to be a victim to our expectation; and this has given us the strength to know the status of our children. According to the organizational administration, they observed that: they now know the status of their children and because of that, they will put much effort to mentor them for a greater future
