Youth seek for the organizational legitimacy
Although newly founded organizations are faced with the challenges of constructing and projecting an identity; these challenges are particularly great when young organizations are belonging to the novel category of organizations or an industry that has not yet established its legitimacy. Such organizations typically lack an attentive audience; and its members or promoters often do not have a shared understanding of what their new industry is or how they are meant to accomplish their objectives; from 2016 when the organization (Kole Intellectual Forum) formally registered and came in practice, that organization was in such dilemma; however, with support from GlobalGiving from August 2018, identity of direct and indirect beneficiaries has turned to be the opposite; instead of the organization identifying the beneficiaries; it is now the beneficiaries come to approach the team leaders of the organization for guidance and assistance.
For instances: of recent in September 2021, a group of youth approached the team leader of Kole Intellectual Forum; gave him their vision, mission and objectives to develop football club and requested the organization to give them a supporting hands. In respond to that: the project leader in consultation with the organizational members procured for them one unit of football as one way of youth empowerment project and advised them to start up the club and keep them (Kole Intellectual Forum) updated
This approach has come to be because these youth have built the legitimacy on the organization (Kole Intellectual Forum) because they are seeing what kole Intellectual Forum is doing to empower 10 girls at the Institute of Home Economics and 12 boys in welding fabrication under Youth Empowerment project Angic in bala Sub-County, Kole District, Northern Uganda.
