Humans are community based in nature: KIFA
KIFA according to the author of this story, it stands for Kole Intellectual Forum (KIFA). The Community based Organization base in Northern Uganda that strongly believes that, humans are community based in their own nature and this came to be, according to the ideas of the author drown from the social psychologists in the names of McMillan & Chavis (1986) who developed the definition of community as “a feeling that members have of belonging, a feeling that members matter to one another and to the group, and a shared faith that members' needs that can be met through their commitment to one another.” In deed, “Humans are actually hardwired to each other”, they (social psychologists) concluded; a strong statement that has influenced the minds and the souls of the promoters of Kole Intellectual Forum as they always want to remain close to their field of intellectuality; in their action researches full of qualitative and quantitative researches.
In their present Institute of Home Economics which are expected to grow further than what is on the ground by 2022: Big Plan to construct an Institute, 2022, $100,000; the organizational promoters have the feelings that, the community where they are deeply rooted do demand for their togetherness, they also want to find out whether they matter to the group of Kole Intellectual Forum or not?
Having understood this logic debate and being part of the community that they exist; the team of Kole Intellectual Forum are devising a mean to ensure that the organization gets committed to their community; especially, the community that their direct beneficiaries come from and those that their offices are located.
The organization has taken the initiative to mobilize the community into repairing and maintaining their community borehole as well as committing the community to take decision on as to when their children should return for further study at the institute of Home Economics since the president of Uganda has lifted the ban on the school closure of the tertiary institutions and universities from Novermber, 2021.
