One person alone can’t change the world.
One person alone can’t change the world; but at the same time, many of them remain idealistic enough to join collective efforts that push us toward a better world. When you think about it, that making a collective efforts is one way of making a perfect partner for community-led nonprofits if at all it can build a strong sense of community (GlobalGiving, 2021). In other words it can be observed that: What nurtures a sense of community, creates positive social change, and offers fulfilling work for Community-led nonprofits!
"As a little young boy that grew from a poor background", Director Kole Intellectual Forum narrated his story that: he found it a little bit difficult to help himself and the community that used to surround him for more than four decades. When he first attained his first degree in Local Governance and Human Rights, he continued to say, he used to struggle with his only biological brothers and sisters to develop their home; unfortunately, nothing fairly work out according to their expectation, given that whatever they used to plan, they were being implemented informally; however, after acquiring a master degree in Sustainable Peace and Conflict Management, he discovered that: One person alone can’t change the world; but, it can come through a collection of efforts and from 2015, he started up a Community Based Organization in the name of Kole Intellectual Forum that has proved him and others that: the secret of development is hidden into the collective efforts; because, since then, Kole Intellectual Forum has advocated for quality education in public schools of Northern Uganda and it is working out, the organization has also called for retention of children in these schools ,and the truth about it, is that children were greatly retained at schools, and of recent, the organization explored into the potentiality of children out of schools and at the end of it all was that many children have been recruited and undergoing training at the Institute of Home Economic as well as being engaged in Youth empowerment Project Angic. All these have been possible because of collective efforts, according to the Director Kole Intellectual Forum.
Today, the organization is calling and willing to be among the outstanding Community Based Organizations in Northern Uganda that would like to change the world through collective efforts; because with collective efforts, the organization has moved from the 31 donors to about 1,061 donors in a period of less than 3 years; fom one Director to more than 5 directors; from one office Administrator to moe than 7 staff; from no member of Board to about 9 members; from one program to more than 3 programs and many more to come, Hence, the Director concluded that: the secret of changing the world is hidden in the hands of collective positive efforts.
In 2022, the organization has a big plan of constructing an Institute of Home Economics; its appeal is link at: Call for supporting KIFA's Big plan, 2022
