The campaigning of Kole Intellectual Forum to contribute towards the rebuilding of the post war region of Northern Uganda through Home Economics Program has started to yield its fruits within the designated areas before the proposed construction of the demonstration Institute of Home Economics in 2022; the communities that are listening to the campaign of Kole Intellectual Forum have started to build good homes either for themselves for their old ones (the elderly)
The promoters of the ongoing Institute of Home Economics (Kole Intellectual Forum) is at present in its six years of its vibrate action research, from 2015; investigating issues within education system from one point to the next; and, participating into the implementations of such findings while intervening according to the assumed recommendations
In 2015, the organization started with the issues thoose were related to the poor performance of the children of the ordinary men of the great region that were/are going to the public primary schools, link to the struggle to bring about quality education in these schools; followed by an attempt to improve on the children retentions in these schools too; eventually, when to certain extent, some quality and high level of retention were realized, greater number of children who qualified for the post primary education system again failed to move to the next level of education; this caused puzzle to the project promoters that radically concluded that: however much the world struggle individually or collectively to promote quality, retention and potential education, if they do not think of building up good human homes, homes those are viable, nothing viable would come from the development of human society.
Hence, amidst these puzzles, in relationship of these findings and recommendations that came through these several number of researches, the promoters were forced to brainstorm and formulate a program of Home Economics, a tool that is expected to cultivate to their students to the seeds of good and viable homes. That is why Kole Intellectual Forum through its pilot students at Institute of Home Economics, is interested to construct an Institute of Home Economics in 2022 with the aim of using it as a demonstration centre before rolling it down within and beyond the district of Kole.
Surprisingly, in not later than the endeavors to construct an Institute; quiet a number of people within the area have already started implementing this concept as seen in the photos above and below.
