Girls of Institute of Home Economics of Kole Intellectual Forum are backed to Classrooms
In line to the study conducted with the help of Hindawi in mid 2021; the report reveals that: COVID-19 has dramatically reshaped the way global education is delivered. Millions of learners were affected by educational institution closures due to the pandemic, which resulted in the largest online movement in the history of education. With this sudden shift away from classrooms in many parts of the globe, universities and higher intuitions of learning had to rapidly shift to virtual and digital strategies. Many, according to that study believe that the adoption of online distance learning will persist after pandemic. This is being the case too, in the education system in Uganda whereby the country is adopting hybrid system of education both the classrooms one as well as an online digital education system.
Like any other learning institution in Uganda, Kole Intellectual Forum whose its institute of Home Economics was directly affected by the closure or lockdown by he government due to the threats of COVID-19; and being an Institute that is advocating for skill training; the organization cannot mainly concentrate of digital system of education; but rather to choose on to the application classroom system of education. On the 10/11/2021, the students reported to the Institute and on the 15/11/2021 they have started normal classroom activities.
