KIFA’s Social Roles to their society
Kole Intellectual Forum (KIFA)’s Social Roles to their society
There are many ways that people can influence the behavior of the people in the society, but perhaps one of the most important things is that: presence of others or an organization in the society seems to be set up expectations.
In reality, we do not expect people to behave randomly but to do so in a certain norms or ways that are generally accepted by the particular society. Each social situation entails its its particular set of expectations about the “proper” way to behave. Such expectations can vary from group to group or society to society.
One way in which these expectations become apparent is when we look at the roles that people play or an organization play in their given society.
Of course, social roles are the part people or an organization plays as a member of that social group to influence the behaviors of others. With each social roles that one adopt, should change to fit the expectation of both yurts or those of others.
For instance, the organization (KIFA) at their year-end 2021’s general meetings; the members strongly and clearly stated that: in their roles as a nonprofit organization deeply rooted among their community in Kole District, Northern Uganda; they have chosen to to train their students with the norms or ways that can bring prosperity, honor and betterment to their society as the foremost roles that can be generally accepted to all. This message was delivered to the students during the lecture of social norms by one of the staff at the KIFA’s Institute of Home Economics
