Re-introducing Scouting to poor performing public primary schools in Kole District, Northern Uganda.
Because of a number of issues that are contributing to poor performance in public primary schools particularly in Northen Uganda; Kole Intellectual Forum among oher things it is doing; the organization is re-introducing the concept of scouting and girl guide both at those public primary schools where they are working at and at the same time, introducing it to its Institute of Home Economics; so that: the cancept can help the learners to develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that can influence their adult lives. The intention is to try to bring into the system new things or to re-introduce old things that can be used to provide a better service to others.
The mission of this particular concept according to Kole Intellectaul Forum is expected to contribute towards quality, sustainable and potential education of these young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law,; and, to help them build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society where the leave.
