The youngest Project Leader of Kole Intellectual Forum has this story to tell the world that: on several occasions at various capacities at workshops, conferences, meetings and debates at different places when sent to represent the organization (KIFA); the challenging question he had always been asked to explain is that: why is Home Economics today in Uganda and in Kole District in particular?
By the term challenging, it means he had little knowledge about it; this then tasked him then to find out what exactly is Home Economics and its importance to the society?
On finding out, he was then not surprised to understand why the program developers came up with a unique and promising program to uplift the youth out of school in Uganda and specifically Kole District.
He therefore confidently has to report to the world that: according to homefamilies.net, Home Economics is that part of science (Human Ecology) that deals with essential life skills mainly in the areas of: food and nutrition, child development and family studies, and clothing and textiles. Indeed, he reported that: it is a study of health and well-being of individuals and families with focus on how to improve on everyday environment. And this is exactly the course units our students at the Institutes of Home Economics are undergoing.
The young man then concluded by thanking those who helped him to understand the concept of Home Economics by asking him a challenging question; he then went onto thanking the program development officers of Kole Intellectual Forum such innovation; above all, he commendabily thanked GlobalGiving for establishment of their online platform that is helping unknown and small organization to prosper; with due regards he also expressed his high level of appreciation to the donors for the trust they have exhibited to the vetted organizations of GlobalGiving.
