With the definition of a Community Based Organization (CBO) as an organization operating at a Sub County level and below; and its objectives is to promote and advance the wellbeing of that particular members of that community; Kole Intellectual Forum is working closely to that definition. The organization although it is registered at the district level, it also at the same time registered to the two sub counties it is operating with their offices allocated at one of the sub county. The organization is working in Kole District Northern Uganda and the two sub counties of Aboke and Bala Sub County. Its offices it at Aboke Sub County today developed to Aboke Town Council.
Given that above, Kole Intellectual Forum, first and foremost, is a Community Based Organization started by the indigenous children of the community; mainly from Aboke Sub County with some few members from Bala Sub County; hence, the organization shares a lot of things those are facilitating their activities with its community. The children they advocating for their improvement in quality, sustainable and potential education are the children of their community; the Institute of Home Economics is being built within their community and the Institute under construction is also being built by the youth selected and trained by the organization; including the community water that the share with the community sometimes is being repaired by the community.
