Advantages of Focus Group Discussion to KIFA ( Kole Intellectual Forum)
With the advantages of focus group discussion (FGD) that include among others: in-depth insights and rich qualitative data; group dynamics and synergy; flexibility and adaptability; real-time feedback and instant reactions; cost-effectiveness and efficiency; market research applications; and, organizational development; and, employee engagement among others; Kole Intellectual Forum (KIFA), has purposely focused its research on the method (Focus group Discussion) to enable her draw upon respondents' attitudes, feelings, beliefs, experiences and reactions in a way in which they would not be feasible if to compare if they had used other methods like, observation, one-to-one interviewing, or questionnaire surveys.
In the method, the organization is always able to approach the research to gain an in-depth understanding of social issues other than approaching them using a statistical representative that can be drawn from a sample of a broader population who might have not be well verse with the insightful data of the social issues of need.
Through this approach, today, with the support from GlobalGiving, Kole Intellectual Forum is able to develop its programs as a result of the very useful outcomes those are coming up from it. The program of Home Economics that the organization is implementing is one of product of the approach.
