Attempt to empower the girl: Home Economics
Unfortunately, the number of women in leadership is growing too slowly despise a number of attempts by both the Governments and Non Governmental Organizations. In order to pave the way, through key community members such as parents, teachers, and nonprofit leaders; Kole intellectual Forum, mainly with support from GlobalGiving, the organization has started to create more opportunities for female leadership by designing a course units of Home Economics; that emphases issues regarding child development, home management, hygiene and sanitation, garment cutting and texitle and food and nutrition among others.
To bridge the gap of gender inequality, the organization is focusing in ensuring at the end of the units, they should put their girls in the lead. The girls in the leadership skills at Kole Intellectual are meant to teach each other, lead each other, read and speech to each other, command each other and so on…
