KIFA: RECOGNIZES BY KOLE DISTRICT AS A PARTNER
KIFA (Kole Intellectual Forum) at year -end education review meeting was greatly recognized by Kole District, Northern Uganda, Education Department as their partner in education development.
As we all generally accept that: education is a fundamental rights for all humans around the globe. Regardless of one’s economic or social status and that, every human being should be entitled to Education. Despite the fact that this might seem obvious, it is not the reality for many Ugandans. Nevertheless, the government has and is still making significant efforts to cub illiteracy. For instance, the government split the education system into pre-primary, primary, secondary and post secondary or tertiary education.
According to The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS), a government Institution who is mandated by the government to develop, maintain and coordinate the National Statistical System (NSS); has observed that, Uganda has made progress in implementing universal primary education, yet many students have not achieved minimum levels of literacy and numeracy. At the same time, low learning levels have also contributed to low completion rates and many students have failed to transition between grades and dropout rates are high.
They further explained that: sustainable development can be achieved in the following ways: by scientific and proper use of resources; by finding out ways to stop enviromental distractions; and, by developing renewable source of energy like water, wind and solar energy.
Kole Intellectual Forum has joined hands with Kole District, Education Department to see that: the promote quality, sustainable and potential education using the above strategy. They are targeting thàt, by 2030 they shall have thrived to their success.
