At Kole Institute of Home Economics, scouting is treated as one of the subjects that plays a vital role in student development, fostering skills like leadership, responsibility, and teamwork, while also promoting character development and civic engagement. Scouting activities according the Institute is observed as an instrument that provides opportunities for personal growth, adventure, and community involvement, impacting students' academic performance, self-esteem, and overall well-being.
During its tenure ship at the Institute, it has helped students to develop their practical skills through activities like camping, first aid, and leadership training. These skills are not only valuable for scouting per se, but it is also, transferable to other areas of life, such as academic pursuits and future careers and the Institute is finding the followng up of their training more perfect as a result of the components they are deriving from the principles of scouting.
