Discussing Parish Development model with the students
The Parish Development Model (PDM) in Uganda can be discussed in terms of its objectives, structure, implementation, and potential impact. Key areas of discussion include the model's goals of wealth creation, employment generation, local economic development, and transitioning households from subsistence to money economy. Additionally, discussions can focus on the PDM's structure, which includes seven pillars such as Production, Storage, Processing and Marketing, Infrastructure and Economic Services, and Financial Inclusion.
With this in place, Kole Intellectual Forum, is with the aims to create both on-farm and off-farm employment opportunities, particularly for rural smallholder farmers including their students when the complete their course and join their family’s members within their respective areas.
