Home Economics: Course unit of Food & nutrition
According to the framers of the course units of Home economics they believe that, the course can significantly benefit their students on how to make choices of which food should be nutritious value on to them. It is also expected to equip them with knowledge about healthy eating habits, disease prevention, and life skills, ultimately contributing to better overall well-being. This education is based on a deeper understanding of cultural and environmental factors related to food and supports sustainable practices.
Whereby, students are made to understand more on food nutrition and they can make informed decision on the choices about the food they need to eat, and those that can promote healthy growth and development, and reducing the risk of diet-related diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and obesity.
