Visiting Directions: Understand organization More
Kole Intellectual Forum has developed a policy that advocates for all the existing directors of their organization, both operational and non operational to a least visit their project once a year before they call on for a board meeting.
This approach has helped both the organization and the management of the organization to progress in a rightful direction.
For instance, the approach has helped the visiting directors to understand the real operating culture of the organization that has alternatvely helped them to see what happens on the ground, which could have given them a different view from what is on the ground . It has also provided with the view of the actual organizational culture, as to compare to what is presented to what is in the formal reports.
In the same context, the approach has also allowed them to see what is on the ground beyond financial reports: A site visit always allows the visitors to see a tangible understanding of performance, like, observing into details in the storefronts other than hearing directly from front-line massages.
Experiencing the operating environment is another tool of empowerment that the visiting directors are gaining; through to their visits, they've been guided to navigate to different locations of the projects that has also helped them to discover all the facts of the organization, which is crucial for long-term strategic planning of the organization.
