Teaching traditional activities: Better living
Among other things Kole Intellectual Forum is teaching their students about their traditional activities for quite a number of reasons as numerated below:
Cultural Preservation and Identity Learning about traditional practices, such as arts, music, dance, or crafting skills, ensures that valuable cultural knowledge and heritage are not lost over time. This connection to one's roots helps individuals develop a strong, positive sense of self and pride in their background.
Skill Development Many traditional activities promote hands-on experiences that foster a range of practical skills. These can include:
Social Cohesion and Empathy Shared traditions create a sense of community and belonging, bringing people together and reinforcing connections across generations. Exposure to diverse traditions also broadens perspectives, fosters empathy, and encourages respect for different ways of life and viewpoints.
