Community Transformation through civil society organizations
The founder member of Kole Intellectual Forum in this report has been quoted to have say that: “How can we transform our communities or societies through civil society organizations?”. To answer this question, is the reason why Kole Intellectual Forum was established. He then narrated his story on the reasons that helped them in the formation of Kole Intellectual Forum.
Because, according to them, Kole Intellectual Forum, they observed that: if a nonprofit organization is to develop its community, it should do so by conducting community needs assessments, building strong partnerships, engaging residents through events and volunteer programs, and providing resources and services that empower individuals and address local challenges, with a clear missions, vision and objectives, this is exactly the foundation to which Kole Intellectual Forum was built, the Founder Member further laborated in his story
To date, about 10 years in service delivery to their community, the organization is moving on, following the key principles of organizational development patterns mentioned above, through: by involving community members in decision-making to foster their shared responsibilities that has been translated into their present impact.
