About the Let Girls Excel Africa Project
The project seeks to raise $6000 to help keep 20 needy Ghanaian schoolgirls, ages 11-18, in school by assisting them with paying for basic costs, including enrollment expenses, books, backpacks, footwear, sanitary pads, and boarding. The project also offers health and sexual education, leadership, coaching, mentorship support, career guidance and a special climate education to equip the selected girls with the skills needed to promote sustainable environment. Most girls in deprived communities in Ghana cannot afford the cost of accessing quality education and lack access to leadership training, coaching, and mentorship. These girls come from poor families, and without your support, they will have no better education/future.
Activities Undertaken
The AVI Let Girls Excel Africa Project launched a fundraising campaign project on GlobalGiving in April 2025 to raise $6000 to support 20 needy schoolgirls education in Ghana. Currently, the project has raised $305, which has been sent by GlobalGiving and received in the account of AVI in Ghana.
The Let Girls’ Excel Africa project has achieved a significant milestone with the successful enrolment of six girls at the Nkawkaw Methodist Junior High Scool in Ghana in school and provision of continuous educational support, made possible through the generous support of our donors.
Opportunities Created
This opportunity has opened doors for these young girls to access quality education and build confidence to pursue their dreams. The programme has not only transformed their individual lives but also inspired their families and community to value girls’ education and empowerment more deeply. These six girls now stand as shining examples of what can be achieved when compassionate donors invest in the future of young women.
