The ongoing onslaught in Syria affects all aspects of life, including the most essential of all, the food supply.
There are countless displaced Syrians whose food security was affected and require continuous food assistance delivery. Breads were chosen as it is an essential food for Syrians and significant in the Syrian culture. MRA has initiated the refurbishment of two damaged bread factories in Syria to produce and ensure a continuous supply of bread for beneficiaries.
The bread production project was implemented within 13 months. An appointed local MRA partner distributed 2.46 million produced bread to 18 locations within the provinces of Idlib, Jinderis, Azaz, and Aleppo.
Bread might be the simplest form of assistance. But, to the displaced Syrians, bread might be their final lifeline of survival during the harsh winter month.
We are grateful to those who believe in MRA and the power of bread as a survival tool for those in desperate need.
Till next time,
