This report represents the second update of our “Winter Assistance for Orphans and Widows in Northern Syria” initiative. Which ended this year with the end of the winter needs for this year. Unfortunately, we were not able to collect more than 17-18% of the total amount required to achieve the goals of the project, which we decided to continue for next year. With this total amount of donations, we were able to provide heating fuel for 44 families for 3 weeks during the past winter. Despite the small and limited nature of this assistance, it was very important for the families who received this aid, because it is not an easy thing in Syria for families to provide warmth, clothing, or food, even if it is for a short period and in limited quantities.
We saw feelings of gratitude and thanks for the donors in the eyes of the children and women during our visits to them
Although this achievement is noteworthy, there is a pressing demand for winter clothing and additional heating fuel to continue supporting these and other families for the coming winter. Our goal is to buy clothes and provide fuel for the entire upcoming winter for a total of 100 families. To achieve this, we still need $18,000.
In this report, we share visual documentation, including photos showing the ZoomIn team, people receiving aid, and information about the aid recipients. We invite you to consider re-engaging and contributing again to expand this assistance, ensure more families benefit and help us achieve our overall goal.
We would like to add one final note
Most of the amount provided came from one donor, and if we had been able to reach five or six other donors, the project goal could have been fully achieved. Therefore, we hope that you will help us reach donors in the upcoming campaigns.
