The Challenge

In Pakistan, winter is especially harsh for people living in poverty. Brick kiln workers, homeless individuals, and street children often sleep outdoors or in unsafe shelters without proper clothing.

They face:

• Freezing night temperatures
• Increased risk of pneumonia, flu, and respiratory infections
• Inability to work or attend school due to illness
• Severe discomfort and loss of dignity

Children, elderly individuals, and daily wage laborers are the most affected. For many, even a single warm sweater is unaffordable.

Our Solution

This project will distribute winter clothing kits to over 200 vulnerable individuals, focusing on:

• Brick kiln workers and their families
• Homeless adults and children
• Roadside and informal settlement communities

Each kit includes:

• Warm sweater or jacket
• Socks and a cap
• Shawl or warm wrap

These items provide immediate protection against cold, reduce illness, and allow individuals to continue working or attending school safely.

Long-Term Impact

Although simple, warm clothing creates lasting change:

• Reduces winter-related illnesses and medical costs
• Helps laborers continue earning income
• Keeps children healthy and able to attend school
• Restores dignity and human comfort
• Strengthens resilience in vulnerable communities
