Winter has arrived to Afghanistan. Snow and extremely low temperatures have hit the country, starting with the first snow in Mazar-e-Sharif at the beginning of December. According to reports from Action for Development's staff on the field, heavy snow also took place in the province of Panjshir.
Action for Development supports marginalized and rural communities in Afghanistan every year with a winterization campaign, aimed at providing wood heaters, warm clothes and food items to families and individuals in need. A mobile clinic in Kabul also provides basic emergency care to those in need of medical attention.
This year's campaign, launched in December 2020, has not been fully funded yet and we need the support of our donor community in order to provide the basic necessities needed for the winter months.
We thank you for your continued support throughout the years and we kindly ask you to help us fund the 2021 winterization campaign in support of Afghan communities!
Every donation counts!
Taking this opportunity to wish you and your families a safe and healthy New Year 2021, best wishes,
The Team at AfD
