Wollangarra is an independent, non profit organisation. Our programs are about practical conservation through outdoor education and help young people to see environmental issues as exciting and demanding challenges to the way we live, rather than endlessly depressing threats to our future. We're currently improving our kitchen to include a new wood fired oven and bulk food storage area. We need your support to cover all sorts of building materials like timber, cement and roofing iron.
As Wollangarra has grown, attracting more volunteers, supporters and program participants, our facilities have become increasingly insufficient in catering for larger groups. We regularly get over 100 people to our community events and our little kitchen just can't cope! It's quite small, and has limited storage space. In fact, most of our bulk food is stored in the office, which makes life difficult for our Directors!
An improved kitchen area and increased storage space will mean we can cater for large groups of volunteers and program participants more effectively.
In the long term, it will help us to meet food safety regulations, ensuring our unique and vital programs can continue into the future. It will also ensure we can keep all of our volunteers well fed!
